Bridget Johnsen
Project Fundraiser/Director
An influential, capable, innovative and active citizen with innate drive and devotion to ‘leaving the world in a better state than she found it’, Bridget Andrea Johnsen runs three non-profits committed to issues surrounding the environment, sustainability, energy, education, and children. Steering efforts in complexity management from an executive, fundraising, and project implementation position over the last 20 years, Bridget fluently manages several moving parts and strategizes how best to meet multiple unique demands.
With a diverse career history and an array of expertise, Bridget has developed an extensive portfolio of networks, skillsets and knowledge, having successfully led multiple differing programmes and initiatives in her quest to drive positive change in whatever comes her way. Well-equipped to provide direction and advice to various project types, Bridget has been approached by instances seeking specialised insights, participating in round table discussions, contributing to feasibility studies and supporting the attainment of critical goals and objectives.
A willing collaborator, Bridget enjoys bringing people and organisations together to merge resources and experience into an operational powerhouse. Fuelled by a shared passion to make a difference in the lives of others, her focus is on education, environmental custodianship, regenerative agriculture and biodiversity.

Dr Eseza Okunga-Nambassi
Champagne Vally Trust Trustee – Strategic Planner
Dr Eseza Okunga-Nambassi graduated from Makerere University (Kampala, Uganda) Medical School in 1985. She focused much of her medical career on HIV, until the end of 2019 when she chose to follow her passion for health and wellness. Dr Eseza Nambassi is passionate about the role of lifestyle (especially nutrition) on health or disease outcomes. She is keen to inform and educate, particularly the youth, on ways to take greater responsibility for their own health and the environment. She loves to collaborate with like-minded people and greatly believes in building healthy communities, starting with individuals within families. She advocates for men’s health, always encouraging awareness among men. As such, one of her missions is to have healthier men for a wealthier nation. The name of Dr Eseza Nambassi’s business and brand is Simply Healthier. She believes that being healthy is not rocket science when basics are implemented.

Lucinda Bremer-Fairhurst

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic project manager with extensive experience in managing projects at multiple scales and levels. I have consistently received positive feedback from supervisors and co-workers regarding my exceptional ability to lead projects and teams. I am an adaptable and transformational leader with an ability to work independently and am well experienced in making critical decisions during challenges that minimize project risks. I am competent with documented success in planning, estimating and organising the overall implementation of projects that ensure specifications and deadlines are met within budget. I have generated and built relationships and networks that are cross-functional. I work with a collaborative approach and have good interpersonal skills to engage, motivate and encourage others. My major experience lies in working with African governments and strategic development partners at various levels with a focus on sustainable development and natural resource management. My work with African Cities has focused predominantly on coastal cities and understanding the various risks, impacts and adaptation mechanisms that are effective at increasing resilience and sustainability

Judith Hawthorn
Voice & Choir Specialist
Judith is the pioneer of the Choral aspect of the Legacy Project. She worked hard to develop choral singing in the initial 5 Berg schools, persevering through cultural and language barriers, and then used her experience to write the Choral Syllabus to empower school educators who were not music specialists to develop choirs in their schools. She continues to mentor the music aspects of the Project, and to celebrate the successes of each school at the Annual Siycula Festivals.
Judith lives in Hilton, KZN and is a busy Voice & Choir Specialist and Musical Theatre Actress.

John Thorpe
Assistant Project Manager
Administrator and Assistant Project Manager on the Choir Legacy Project. Handling of administrative and management duties. Assisting Managing Director where required. Communications with relevant project stakeholders, logistical arrangements. Minute taking, payment loading, financial record keeping, preparation of information for accountants, human resource and vehicle management, assisting with event organising. John has a B-Tech in Nature Conservation and Project Management and worked in the Conservation field for 6 years, he has also been working as an Administrator for a Public Benefit Organisation for 7 years.

Marco Coetsee
Greytown Project Manager
Marco has is a music teacher, teaching guitar and drums for the past 4 years. He has experience in various music groups and music genres. Coming from the lovely town of Potchefstroom in the North West, becoming a local in Greytown in December 2022. He has a passion for music and children, especially for those that are less fortunate. He will be finishing his PGCE in Physical and Natural Science in June 2024. Also being in possession of a B. Sc. Degree and a B. Th. Honours degree.
Role: Marco’s main role in the legacy project is to run the Greytown Circle which includes 4 rural schools from the area. Running the circle, means weekly to bi-weekly visits to the schools, working to establish choirs and choir conductors within the schools. Part of this is to teach songs, specifically English, to the choirs. It forms part of a literacy program, teaching English through singing and discipline through the discipline required to be in a choir. Preparing choirs for, and organizing, a Siyacula choir festival and the end of the year.

Mbali Nkosi
Music
Director
Mbali is the music director and conductor in Chief for PSI Legacy project. Choir conductor and vocal coach. Mbali also have a Bachelor of Laws Degree and a TEFL Certificate.
